Katlyn is a writer and producer currently living in central Los Angeles. Her fiction has appeared in various literary journals and publications, including Necessary Fiction, Ligeia Magazine, Train River Short Stories, Lunch Ticket, and Moon City Review. Her short story, “Death in a Hollywood Edit Bay,” was nominated for the Pushcart Prize and submitted for consideration for The Best American Short Stories 2021. A former TV news producer, Katlyn now works as an associate producer on documentaries. Her TV credits include Behind the Music, Untold Stories of Hip Hop, and House Hunters Renovation.

Katlyn holds a BS in Media Productions from Missouri State University, where she graduated cum laude. She attended the Missouri Fine Arts Academy as a theatre student in 2006 and returned as a resident assistant in 2010. She grew up in a condo suburb of St. Louis, Missouri, and attended Brentwood High School.
